My mate works for technical customer support at Shure, and when he gets calls from people worrying whether they've bought a cheap Chinese copy (cause there are lots of them on ebay and the like) he tells them to throw it against a wall. If it's still working, it's a genuine SM58. They are very solid mics, but like the man said, don't buy a really cheap one!

thanks for the tip about H for H, Sleepyrider ,they played quite near here on thursday . Sadly I was 280 miles east that night...o well...

Hi, Guys, just got ma 4 track other day. Tascam DP 08. Not much up on recording side (tho have had some songs published; I wrote, and let others do the work! lol). What's best mike for it (budget range), I have an old Phiilips Karoke mike, but know ah need better.Mr  Rtz, Mr Anon, etc, ah await yer words of wisdom !  n;)

Could any of you point me in the right direction....

Im after a pitch bender, like the one you get on keyboards, but as a foot pedal

dont want anything posh and i need to keep the cost down
