Hi Malcolm. Funnily enough, I have just built a little ruby amp. I got mine from Run off groove, but there are many sites out there that sell the pcb/kit. Very easy to build. (If I can do it,then it must be easy!! ) Also have just finished building a fuzz face pedal from pedal parts emporium as jabes posted below. They do the ruby amp. Great service, fast and lots of help/info. As you can see from the pics below, I have added speaker terminals and a battery box, but the basic kit comes with the pcb,all components, input and output jacks,pots and a battery snap. I have put a pdf file after the pics to give you flavour of some other mods you can make.

It sounds great!. very dirty sound if you crank the gain, but also just broken up enough without the gain to make it a very pleasing sound.

Try searching for pedal parts they do an amp ina kit diy for £14 ish. I'post the address when I get home....

Sorry guys but I think I will have to cancel the July Shindig in Devon. Potential issues with the venue which some clown has double booked. If I have any further news I will let you know.

Anybody got any plans for battery operated amp got lots of small cigar boxes would like to use them for something please make plans understandable to a five year old
