Lincoln Durham, saw him a year or so ago in London. really good. plays a one string too. really nice bloke too. had a couple of pints with him and his missus after the gig.

15th Feb The Engine Rooms, Skelmersdale - gig with Soulcatcher, Bluesbeaten Redshaw and ChickenboneJohn. I'm also running a 'make and play' workshop on the same day but that's sold out. 18th May Haydock Park guitar show  and 23rd November Aintree guitar show - I'll be there and I would think that Treadstone Guitars will also be there with our CBG stalls.

Just heard some sad news, my friend Stan Newton died a few ago. He was a real character and a generous hearted gentleman. You might not have known Stan, but he was often to be seen in Birmingham photographing people and places....with his distinctive beard, often dressed in top hat, sometimes teamed incongruously and stylishly with a leather biker jacket, he was always easy to recognise. Stan was very enthusiastic about his music, and I often bumped into him in Birmingham city centre when I was busking...he also filmed "Boxstock", the UK cigar box guitar festival in 2011. RIP Stan, another good man down.

Hi londonbackpakr. Try www.bitsbox.co.uk for electrical components. Look in the list on the left hand side of the front page and select resistors and then potentiometers. Loads of different values, all dirt cheap and good postage. Also check out www.pedalparts.co.uk and www.doctortweek.co.uk.
