I haven't tried a guitar through it but it sounds similar to the telephone mike that Hollowbelly has in his Shotgun vid when you speak through it.

All the electrics,amp etc. are contained in the little red compartment where the mouthpiece is.I want to utilise the speaker and I have a box big enough so I thought I would use it 'as is'.

I did buy a maplin Amp kit, but that Engerlund bull horn does look interesting and might go into a tobacco tin or coke can.

Hi Peter, funny I was just looking around our local electrical shop and saw some of those batteries - big buggers aren't they. I see there are a few of those radios around fairly cheap and they do have a great tone but who knows whether simply plugging in with an adaptor would be an instant solution? Found the megaphone thingie just down the road but a bit pricier than Colin got his for.... um....
