Not so far - it's pretty sticky stuff (first one was a couple of years ago) and those piezos are very light

Thanks, do you ever find it falls off?

@Alan H - I use double sided foam tape from a craft shop to attach piezos - seems to avoid some of the noise from knocks etc - I am sure others use different methods

Hi all, sorry to butt in on the thread, but can anyonbe tell me the best way to secure piezo pickups to the underside of the lid of my box. ie glue, silicon, sellotape!!!? I appreciate that this is probably an old question answered many times before, but as this is my first build......Cut me a little slack?????? Thanks, Alan.

Not a CBG, but rooting around a local junk shop, I've just scored my self a vintage John E Dallas Model A "George Formby" Banjo Uke.

I think it was a bargain even though the Model A is the most basic and it has wear and tear, but, after fiddling with one of the button screws it appears to tune and hold it, and it has the original signature velum even though it is very worn.

Just need to teach my fat fingers to play it.

Are there any CBG players out here in South Devon interested in creating a loosely based group of Cigar Box Guitar players/builders to help spread the Revolution? Yes I know Hollowbelly lives up the road!
I was thinking about forming a little troupe of strolling players to go round pubs and other venues with each person (or a duo or trio) playing a few of their favourite songs to make up a set lasting an hour or two. Thought it might suit anyone who hasn't got a full set organised (like me) but fancies playing for fun or a beer or two. Working title of the group is "The Twiddlers Thumbs" which sums up my situation! I can play blues harp as well as the guitars and I have spare instruments including 1 string and 3 string basses to add a bit of flavour to the proceedings. So let me know if you are in teh area or know someone who is and maybe we can get it together

With current exchange rates, the smaller size cone works out at around £17 ( + p+p) Great value, Just waiting to hear back on how to order. Great job Naz, Many thanks.

I've heard nothing but greatness about his cones ... and because they screw to the top of the box they are much easier to use than a 'conventional' reso cone.

... much cheaper too.

I know he's got some work-in-progress aluminium ones underway, but those brass ones are much better looking IMO.

Thanks Naz, Checked out old lowes page. Looks good.

Alan, have you checked out the cones from Old Lowe?
