Comment by Keith Stanford on December 4, 2013 at 12:14pm: A.D. - If you find the 'slide' is too big, you can use some of that double-side-sticky tape that appears to be about 1/8" thick foam. Just tape it into the slide and if it is too loose, add another piece. 'Duck' is correct on using a socket....works great and you can find one sized to your finger. I also have used wine bottle necks as they are quite a bit smaller than the beer bottle.

Save yourself a whole lot of frustration....buy Mordacai's book on how to make the CBG at www.GittyMan.com

At only $14 it is a steal, and has all you need to know about making that CBG.

Tell you what....if after you get the book, if you don't think it is worth he $14, I'll personally reimburse you.

(And you won't a couple of weeks for it to arrive in the mail....it is emailed to you the same day.)

I would like to use a tailpiece from a 4 string bass resonator guitar and as the string spacing is not correct for a 4 string CBG,I was wondering if you can add on a secondary tailpiece with the correct spacing to pass thru before it reaches the bridge,did any of you do this and did it kill the tone by doing this!
