I dont know what that stuff is theyre trying to pass off as "country" these days. They stopped playing country music on the radio back in the 80's.

Hip Hop is fine when its filtered properly. Tom Waits is the best beat boxer Iv ever heard ;)

I'm good with all ... well most music. Country and rap, well ........ onis just as bad as the other. lol

I do find myself going more toward bluegrass and "old-time" mountain music the more I learn to play CBG's.

Welcome Alyson! Ive been playing frailing banjo for about 3 years now. I used to have a chip on my shoulder about bluegrass people, but Im warming up to them. haha We all need to set a date or something for the summer maybe and have a jam session some where.

Yep, Andy spends his retirement years in Manteo, NC near where I live. I see him riding his scooter in the grocery store sometimes.

Yep, we visited Mt. Airy Music and then hit Snappy's on Christmas Eve day.

I do indeed live in the heart of "Mayberry". I eat at Snappy Lunch at least once a month and work in Mount Pilot (actually it is Pilot Mountain).

That's me. I've been playing about 37 years. I play bluegrass banjo and acoustic blues guitar. I can't wait to develop some 3 string tunes.

I have stuff in guitar shop in Germanton , and I've been considering ( and looking) for a place to get some stuff in a shop up that way.
