Here's another improv. I bought a hand held belt sander some time ago because the bench ones were too rich for my pocket. I kept putting it in my vice to do sanding and then decided to make a cradle. This just stands on the bench, drop in the sander, and I can use it hands free like a bench mounted one. I then got to looking at disc sanders, and they were too expensive, so I made up a plate that I can drop the sander in it's cradle into it and use it vertically like a disc sander. Been very useful so far and another use for my srap timber. Hogs.

Nice! I was thinking about doing something like that because I couldn't find drums that I actually liked (for a decent price anyway)

I was cutting some holes in timber a few days ago and looked at the 'plugs' that came out and wondered what I could use them for. So I drilled the holes out to 8mm and got a 100mm x 8mm coach bolt glued the two pieces together and spun up the nut and tightened it. Following day I cut a groove in it at an angle, put in a piece of glasspaper, cut it to length and fixed the tail end on to the body with a piece of double sided tape, and I now have a drum sander to use in my drill press. It worked so well I cut more holes, of different sizes, and glued them together and I now have three different sized drum sanders. It's a bit like using a large size version of the Dremel drum sanders. So again another use for scrap and a chance to recycle. Hogs.

I saw a video of a guy that makes a cake pan reso and he had a circle cutting jig for his dremel , so this is my version of it!

I have no clue how the bus pics ended up on here. Anyway I thought it was cool. I can't figure out how to edit this so I'll leave 'em there for now. See if I can get the thickness gauge this time.
