Wow Diane, that Casa Torano box is a beauty, one mighty fine lookin' geetar !
I'll be bringin' my two crappy lookin'...but "fairly" good soundin' ones. IMHO ;-)
I've got a couple in the works but... they're in slow-mo-build-mode.

I've only been a CBG member for a month or so and I'm so impressed with the friendly folks here sharin' themselves, their creative talents, knowledge and great home-brewed music. Although I'm not from Chicago I am sorta nearby, around Lake Geneva, WI. I hope y'all don't mind me joinin' but I figure so many Chicago folks visit Geneva that I'm close enough. Not to mention that I don't talk sports, so there should be no bad-blood there. ;) Bein' a country boy
I don't relish drivin' into downtown Chicago but I'm gonna' check out where this Grafton place is. I'm thinkin' it could well be worth the traffic pain.

Hey Chicago CBG - Though I'm in NC now, I grew up in the Chicago area. My brother still lives there and I'm keeping in touch with your group in hopes of getting him connected because he is working on his first build.

Hay Ed I was the one that took classes and worker at the guitar school. Loved it lot. Are you looking for a 3 string or 4 or 6 ? I build 6 stringer. I will give you a good deal.

Hello Chicago CBG,
Just found the web site & jumped in.
I'm more of a student at this point but I would love to get a CBG at some
point. Anyone with recommendations on something in the $200-300 range
would be appreciated.
Someone mentioned Specimen guitar in Logan Square. I took a fretting
workshop there last Feb.'09. It's a nice place to take classes, I'd recommend it.

Lemme check into the Lincoln Diner on Lincoln just north of Irving Park. They have Monday Banjo no-cover nights, so there must be dedicated space for noisy people. Stand by . . .

Hi,

I don't have a contact at Indian Boundry (do parks let people have a room/space just out of the blue?). Does Horner, know anyone there? That's an easy hop for me.
But the idea is way fine, love to meet and Sundays are often pretty open.
A restaurant where we could get a cup and be left alone would be enough to get it started. I don't have to play to make a meeting worth my while (show and tell would still be an easy option).
It would be a good chance for the Chi folks to meet face to face.

How about you others? Thoughts/opinions?
