Earlier this morning durring the normal madness at home I came up with this map to locate anyone in driving distance. Some on the group list where too far away to make it a day trip but at least we could mull this over as a central location. I hope this link works.

Also I have come up with a pretty cool suggestion.

In the fall around late September or early October I go to this HPV Festival in Ayer MA. I left a point on the map to show where it sits in MA. Pretty much central. So here is the deal there. If I talk to my friends that hold the event I can get a spot to show our CBG and maybe sell some. We could demonstrate what these things can do....let them handle a few.... maybe sell a few.....have fun in general. These people will be eager and just from meeting them from the past years I've gone to this event will just love it. Maybe CBGitty may want to set a table there. If anyone wants to try something like that I can set it up with the folks there. ............... just thinking out loud....... or maybe I don't know when to shut my mouth.......

The Human Powered Vehicles Festival has all sorts of bikes that show up for the ride and demos. A lot of recumbents and trikes. I'm a member of Rat Rod Bikes thats on the interweb and last year we brought some custom builds like tallbikes and choppers. I brought a custom take apart recumbent/burritto and a couple of my swingbikes. It's a lot of fun and the people are.....crunchy granola type of people, they will dig the boxes.

Mull it around and see if there is enough interest and I'll get on it. I'll find a few pics of the madness lastyear and post it.

Sounds good, a park on a nice day. Pack your own lunch or whatever. Lets go. Now who lives in central mass and knows the parks?

How about a rest stop on the thru way? ha just kidding.

I think it should be somewhere we can talk, jam, show and tell, have some drinks maybe? Although I guess we could do most of that in a HD parking lot. How about some park or something with picnic shelters? That should be cheap/free and protected from weather.

Combining the thoughts of recent blogs, why don't we have a meetup in a central MA home depot? It seems like a natual to me

Corbie, I think Lowes and HD are just about the same for both price and quality. I hit whichever is closer to where I am when I have the car! (We are down to one car)

A meetup sounds great. I would love to get to know some of you in person and of course JAM!

I would love to see this happen. I am getting my self back in the building game now that the weather is getting better and I have found myself with time on my hands. Keep posting and hopefully we can make it happen.

@Ben - A meetup would be great. I'm down in southern CT (on the coast - can't get much further south than that in NE without getting wet!) but central MA isn't a bad driving distance. In a pinch, NH would also do well. There's some nice places in New England. And once you clear the metro areas the drive and scenery tend to be nice. I say let's do it.

Sounds like a good idea Ben, how about somewhere in central MA, so we can all get there in short time?
