i got a new Guitar/Bass built from an old applause bass and 2 pickups i used an A string of the bass so i can tune B A G F so far so its (G)Gdg) i use a volume peddle on the guitar. i use the high 3 strings on a Baritone Guitar string set

1 string bass tuning hmmm i tune the open string to the root or key of the song.instant transposing for dummys. i have a D string i tune up to E,F maybe G. and down to C,B A maybe G. on lower tunings i play softer on higher tunings it realy rings out BE CAREFULL OF OVER TIGHTNING.this method is eazy to play and tune. listen for the key and do a quick tune. a clipon tuner is helpfull

got a new cbg named#21 by Keith at K.S.W. it came tuned (DAda) with bassy strings on it the cool thing about this tuning is you get a cool bass or lead fill you got the same strings 1 octave higher or lower side by side to riff on http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/cigar-box-guitar-mr-soul-by

i totaly agree very eazy to get used to. chords are eazy if you play 6 string. single note leads and fills are like a 6 string standard. slide is freindly to this tuning nice video Uncle John
