This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

I'm think yes you are correct. I have no hum either

It's interesting for sure. Most single coil pickups that have a noiseless feature tend to loose some tone quality. I haven't noticed that on my guitar, but it's been awhile since I heard them by themselves. I think I'm going to have to investigate further by disconnecting the piezo and see if there's a difference in the tone(ignoring the 60 cycle hum).

It couldn't be that simple to get single coil tone, attitude, attack and clarity without the noise could it? All those "Noiseless" single coils that big winders made and spent a bunch of dollars making them when they could've just wired a 2 dollar or less piezo in the circuit?

sawdust, would pieces, tools....I'm going right now to clean my mess arghhhhh

Or as I call it - found my missing tools. ;)

And my missing workbench

Building a three stringer out of an old lawn mower guard. Need to stain the neck and then assemble.

Started the initial cuts for two maple and two red oak necks. Bought a cherry neck with extended headstock and a slotted fretboard from Gitty to use on a Camacho box.

So many projects, so little time........

Had an extra piece or are you trying to get out of cutting the grass?  ;)

It fell off of my old push mower a couple of years ago and I just tossed it aside. Recently I looked at it and saw a guitar in the making. So......

Oh and I live alone, so I can get out of mowing the lawn far longer than most. Ha!

Signs that show you have the sickness: picking up anything and thinking that you can make a git out of it. Hahahaha

I have it too.;)

Tomorrow should be final assembly, but here's a preview of the body.

And I definitely have the sickness.......

I still have 7 tea canjos to finish, and a cookie tin waiting in the works, a cgb 6 stringer, a wine box 6 string acoustic and three more license plate gits to build, plus I bought curly cherry tonewood so I can make a custom acoustic instrument.

I can stop anytime I want to.

Sure you can stop when you want to. Hahahaha
I don't even want to count the projects I have waiting.
