Volume pot problem
I soldered up 2 "Little Gem" 1 watt amps and both have strange volume pots... I used all the components required and followed schematics exactly... I've made these before. This time the volume works fine at full volume, but when I turn it down a little it drops off fast and is completely gone after about 1/8 turn. What gives? I cannot figure it out.

Are they linear or audio taper? I'll bet they're linear if there's a sudden drop off.

LInear... I think I ordered linear because the gain was linear... I need to get audio don't I...?

How much difference is there between a 5KA, 25KA, 100KA...???

I see up to A500 on ebay... If schematics call for A25K can I use an A250K? I don't know....

Yeah. I'm just using it as an example. But since I'll be away for a week on vacation... whatever I order should be waiting for me when I get back... :)
