Very good, I'm sure the SW memorabilia could be used in raffles or contest. Bill Kunz, Gary Herget and myself organize the festival and club. We usually pick from several fund raisers such as Play it Forward program that supplys instruments for underfunded school districts. Another fund raiser is Six String Heroes that puts guitars into hands of vets returning through the VA hospitals system.

Wow, I don't know what to say. I'm still laughing. Felt out of place because I didn't have an acoustic instrument. And everyone else's builds were much better than mine. There was a lot of really great craftsmanship represented. You all have inspired me to try fretting.

Scott, really like your idea of a learned jam. We could even group people or have volunteers play a complete song. Even a singer to belt out some blues lyrics. Kind of a band improve. I'm no the greatest singer or player but would love to do both.

Hey rat... Yooda MAN..  I would have loved to heard your guitar. Did you know the first Fender telecaster prototype was made from a solid wood cutting board.??  I'll get to hear it at the next meeting I hope. I'll have my new Humidore 3 string by then.

I wouldn't say any builds were better. Like I was saying while we talked, in my opinion. Fine wood working and beautiful grains/finishes are very fine indeed. Road worn, weather torn funkadelitized is awesome as well. Where we

miss out the most is just playing them. That's just me. I seen a lot of character in your build and personalization.

I'm dropping off a couple small amps to be stored there for club use along with mics and stands. That way we can get right to it and collaborate in any jam that springs into inspiration. I just need a couple bar cords to play the harp to. It's all good and I'm certain we can squeeze in a lot of fun into 3hrs.

I can bring my own amp. What size, power level, of amps are you going to drop off? I have a small roland practice amp. And a crate vintage 20. I just want to bring one that will not get drowned out.

Doubt we will have anything cranked up to drown mini amps. However, I recommend cycling the group in turn so as not to cheat ourselves on a few good songs. I'm sure we can work out more possibilities on site where we learn how many players involved and maybe use upstairs for overflow.

Wow, sounds like I missed out.  My doc says I couldn't even carry my CBG from the car to the table (plus you all probably wouldn't want to have looked at my neck wound anyway).  I asked him to tune up my vocal chords while he was in there rooting around so hopefully I can be a better singer, but I doubt it.  

I think the idea of a giant CBG band (with harmonicas thrown in etc., but all strings CB instruments) is a great idea…don't know how we would get around (shoot I forgot the sound physics principle about too many things playing the same thing ends up canceling out).  Perhaps a few groups of two or three (beginner and uke or mandolin or singer paired with someone more advanced for lead and melody) which then challenge each other in a show or something?

I don't know…remember I am still high on Valium.  Anyway, sorry I missed you all and I'll be there for sure in March!
