We are organizing a CBG workshop held one Saturday a month at the 61 roadhouse & kitchen in Webster Groves MO. (St. Louis Area).  This is also the home to the St. Louis CBG festival each year.

Bill Kunz of 61 has been generous in offering us a place to meet, practice, discussed ideas and what ever members decide to do with the time. Gary Herget and myself are contacts for this club and are open to ideas to make this a fun club. As soon as we have commitment from members, we can set up a Saturday each month to meet mornings. We haven't set a day or start time as of yet. We need to know who can commit at least to a start up and discuss as a group when and how we want to run this. Possibilities are great!

Hey Rat.  Looks like your maintenance department found another broken machine....LOL  We missed ya. See ya next month.  ;-)

Good morning ya'll. I wasn't going to come to the meet today cause Ive been on the road for a few weeks and and waaaay over due for a haircut. I know I look like a shaggy dog but by golly, I'm coming anyway. Maybe one of you guys can bring some sheep sheerers and give me a Mohawk before I leave....lol

Oh...BTW:   I'm in the market for some new stubby slides. If anyone has any for sale, bring them plz....Thanks.

Hey Buddy, Woke up this morning with a nasty head cold. Really didn't want to share. Hope ya'll had a blast!

Glad for your quarantine option A. This club meeting I missed the 1st 45min. However the group practiced more and pumped out a few songs. I think it will develop each time as we learn to use our time more effectively. New builds were shared. New faces and a few familiar ones. See ya next month April 19th.

Songwriting Competition is designed to provide an opportunity for novice and experienced songwriters. Allows their songs to be heard and judged in the open arena. This is designed to encourage the talent of songwriters on all levels and promote the art. Amateur and professional writers and musicians are invited. A professional panel of judges of various related skills are offering honest feedback as well as choosing the days winners in this competition.  There is opportunity for your songs to be heard by influential decision-makers in the St. Louis blues community.

Note: Just a rough draft of whats to come on June 7th. at St. Louis CBG festival.

Vocal melody for Poison Pillow song. Here is a sample of what the melody sounds like to me when writing the song Poison Pillow. I'm looking for ideas to apply instrumental to this project. Once I get a good foundation built around, I add my harmonica as well as other variations become possible. Anybody is welcome to collaborate on this. There are song writers sites I use that have file conversion/editing software to make the collaboration easier.

Man.. I was all enthused til I got to the "perform LIVE" part. ..lol Are we going to perform for the judges only or for the general public.? Ive been known to scratch out a few tunes but dont like singing in public. I hope the song will be judged on the quality of the song itself and not the singers talent.

So if only three of us enter we all get guitars! Awesome! Cds and cassettes but not floppy disks? lNoooooooo! : )

Got some things to swap at the next meetup if someone is interested. Have three large tins.
An older 9 15/16 by 3 1/16
An older 10 1/5 by 4 1/4
and a newer 10 1/2 by 4 7/8.

Cool! Swapping fun but slow to initiate, I knew a guy who started with a pocket knife and swapped up to a car. I'll try and remember to bring something useful to trade.

If there's only three of you that enter, you're required to pay for my anti depressant medication after the event : )
