Yep I know that feeling. My box of new bits just arrived in the mail. Started Nov 2015. Hooked.

CBGs seem to be alive and well in Australia at the moment.

My mum brought the license plate back from one of her trips many years ago, I kept it, and now I found a use for it,

Beautiful 2 stringer, is it a bass? what's the box?

Thank you,yes it's a bass, jazz bass scale, nails as frets and an old needlework box that I had lying around, built it to play as an upright, it's about cello size with a p bass pu, as the lid is a bit thick to vibrate well
