Reso uke from Ebay kit....

Apologies for not posting very often, so I hope you don't mind me sharing the latest aberration from my workbench.

Starting with a cheap (£22 tenor uke kit, together with a 6" aluminium resonator (also Ebay), I've combined the two - together with a decent set of Aquila strings - top produce the instrument shown here.

The strings are still settling in, but for less than £50, I'm really chuffed with the results!

TimA wipe with dark grey wood stain sets the mood.

In a rare moment of forethought, I angled the neck back by a couple of degrees, which increases the break angle over the bridge considerably.
