never played before!

hello nation, i have started building cbg's but there is one problem i have never played a instrument in my life, thus don't have a clue on how to read, tune or understand music in general. So if anyone can point me in the right direction  to get started that would help out greatly .  thank you Jason.

As much as I love stick dulcimers, I think that a better starting place is a 3 string fretless slide CBG.... set it up with an open tuning and then youtube some of the classic blues songs like "Sweet Home Chicago"... This is in a 12 bar blues chord pattern where the player of a fretlless CBG in open tuning only has to find three positions to play along....

I know to someone without musical experience this and other posts sound like a foriegn language.... So... if you need help email me and we can either go to chat or do a phone call....

Don't give up... do what you can, try to do more... over time you'll get there...
