I read on here about wiring two piezos in series to change the tone and impedance and it definitely worked... but, I get quite a bit of hum on the amp with it.
The one with just a single piezo connected to jack has no hum problem.
I tried grounding the strings like a magnetic setup but made no difference.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen or is it my technique?
Or did I make a ground loop now? ... cuz that's what it sound like to me.
Thanks

I've wired them like that and didn't have any problem. It sounds like something happened to the ground, possibly where it's connected to the piezo.
I've wired them like that also with no problems is it possible you over heated the Piezo while soldering and damaged it ?
juju.
Speaking of impedance, wire piezos in parallel. Series doubles the (very) high impedance that piezos have. Parallel cuts that impedance in half. Grounding (other than black to the ring contact) is not usually necessary. Piezos pick up vibrations, not magnetic flux interference. Plus much 'mo volume.

I'm with Skeesix and JUJU. Solder sounds like the issue. Check yer wiring.

Thanks.
I have tested the parallel series concept already.
Series does make a big difference in tone, imho.

So, I'm gonna make another one and be more careful with the soldering, etc. and see how it goes.

Thanks again.
