quick fix is run the string past a japan head screw or use a brass tube and tie wrap as a quick bodge

tie wraps work but dont look too great,...  

this is now replaced with a small piece of ebony and 2 screws..that way you can use a flat piece of wood as the neck..

Good old japan screws work a treat as the have big heads...this works to take pressure off home made tuners and works

looks awful, but great for thoose quick rubbish testers...teak oil can diddley bow

Am I missing something??? Does a string go thru to underneath?? If so why??

A bass drone string??? I'm confused...It's not nice to trick old people!!!!   :-)
