Here's a picture of the Arrow Cased Closed so you can see what the outside looks like.

Mike, I really like you case and see a lot of potential of this working for me. I have looked at some arrow cases on Ebay, they are simuliar but not exactly like yours. Could you tell me who the Mfg. of your case is?

Thanks,

Hello,

Here is a case I built out of wine boxes.  An all in one blues box.

I like that arrow case idea.

That wine box case is way cool!

Great looking cases I was looking for ideas for a case and stumbled upon you guys. I'm not much of a wood worker may go with a cardboard to start. I need one pretty quick for a trip I'm taking. Just something to  provide some protection.

I did a cardboard one that was 2 pieces thick. I used spray Loctite. Worked good, and was easy to build.

Thanks! I'm thinking I could make it look like an old time cheap suitcase, maybe glue on a lot of old travel stamps. I found copies of stamps online. Just google travel stamps.

I would love to see how it looks when done.

Thanks, plan to go to a couple of music stores and see if they have a guitar shipping box.

I'm super cheap and tend to go cardboard as well-but my local music store often saves a few of the smaller shipping boxes for me, and since they already have the perfect guitar shape built in it's child's play to make a few cuts and shrink them to my 19" to 25" necks and smaller soundboxes.

One thing I would recommend-if you have a well-ventilated room, I suggest you paint the finished cardboard box with a brush and a thin layer of automotive epoxy, surfboard epoxy or marine spar epoxy-the solution will sink into the cardboard, strengthen it and weatherproof it.  Adding a few cardboard 'ribs' to the interior before applying the epoxy will make a stong, light weatherproof case, and any padding can still be applied with 3M spray adhesive or hot glue...also, the outer surface is properly sealed for painting.
