Right, let's get this one movin'.

 

I'm driving up on Friday morning from Kent, leaving at about 10am, so it'll be M25 north bound, M1, M6. More than happy to pick one other person up en-route (small car, sorry folks) to share the boredom of the motorways. I'm booked into the Travelodge at Oldbury so that'll be my first port of call (or the Public to help set up, I'm easy). Couple of things......I must leave fairly early on Sunday morning as I need to be back in Kent for a family do that afternoon/evening so I'm planning on hitting the road no later than 8.30/9.00am (if the hangover allows!), also - and I hate to be a bit of an old woman - but I'd prefer someone who can last the trip without a smoke.

 

If anyone's interested reply here and we'll sort out the details.

Hi all. I would also like to offer my services as driver for the friday. I live in Fareham which is just between Portsmouth and Southampton on the south coast. So, my route is thus. M27, M3, A34, M40. Leaving mid to late am. If you live on or near this route then let me know. Returning at whatever time I surface on the Sunday. Sorry, company car policy says no smoking, but more than happy to stop for breaks when required! I can accomodate 2 people and a reasonable amount of equipment/bags (Toyota Verso) Up to brum for lunchtime, check in at appropriate time at oldbury travel lodge. Contribution to fuel is not required, but I drink beer and jack daniels, Hint, Hint!!!!!!  As with Malcolms offer above, reply here.

  Just wonderinf if anyone's going from Sheffield on the Saturday, and returning the same day?

I might be able to afford it, if I don't have to book a hotel.
