And think about stuff you have you'd like to trade. Maybe some odd tuners, maybe some fingerboard stock too narrow for what you build, maybe piezos because you have too many to use in a lifetime (me!) , . . .

There doesn't seem to be many responses to this.
Will it just be three people or are we all just poorly trained RSVP-ers ?
I've got at least a 2 hour drive to get there. No disrespect towards anyone but I sure would like to meet more than 2 people. :-) Oh well, we gotta' start somewhere hey ? I'm in.
Is that folk music museum thingie open Sunday...if so, what time does it open ?

The Old Town School of Folk Music is a music/dance school, and they have classes 7 days a week and performances almost every night. A great resource for Chicago folks, and I know people drive silly distances from the burbs to take classes. You can check their website. www.oldtownschool.org

The Chicago crowd is small, no doubt but growing. If you are looking for building tips and advice, there will be plenty of that.

An RSVP means nothing anymore, the days of Emily Post are far behind us.

To be honest I'm extremely terrible with replying to invitations myself, just ask anyone who's invited me to ANYthing.
Anyway,...I feel like a bit of a dolt for phrasing my rsvp comment as I did, pardon me.
What the heck does the r,s,v, and p stand for anyway ? I'm 57 stinkin' years old and feel I should know this, even though it's useless info.
Wait, what was the topic ?
Oh yeah, the Grafton thing...I may drive in earlier, are there any points of interest nearby the Grafton that an outa' towner might take interest in ? Like a gallery, museum, second hand stores or antique shops, historical thingies...etc.
