Awesome idea! I thought about doing this very thing the other day but with the mics from old rotary dial telephone handsets.
The mics are small enough that I'm probably going to mount one under each string and run them to one master volume. It's just an idea thus far and I'll take any comments to the yay or nay on it. Aaaaannnnndddd.....GO!
