C B Gitty's string ferrules...

Can someone advise to the best way to install these securely? I saw a video where someone used a soldering iron to burn them into the wood. I tried that, the tension off the strings just popped them right back out. Now as a last ditch effort I'm using guerrilla glue to hold them in. Any other advice?

I drill the holes so they stay snug and have to tap them in with a hammer- if you're nervous about drilling too far, just mark the depth on your bit with tape or white out.

yup make em tight fit and a couple drops super glue works too. use the steel ones they work better than the aluminium.
