Also if you go to the members button on the front page and just type in Tx in the search box all the texas people will pop up

Actually, I lived in Lindale (Lyndale?), TX (close to Tyler) for about 3 months back in 1995. So maybe it's just Texas calling me back home.

I've been living in north Austin since 08, sadly all the joints I like are south of me, anybody know any good music venues in the N. Austin Round Rock area?

matte i live in lindale now grew up round here, just started into this crazy cbg world u still in the austin area, or anyone else in this area (meaning east texas)????

I'm back home now. Spent a few days in Austin and plan to return this summer and check out what your blistering summers are like. I'm man enough for Minnesota winters, so I think I'm man enough for Austin summers. However, my wife isn't so sure she's man enough for Austin summers.

Well, hopefully "better late than never"...

 

I live in Austin - I LOVE it here. Beer, BBQ, good people, beautiful women, great music, a park you can get lost in smack dab in the middle of the city....what's not to love ?

 

We've got Dale Watson, Redd Volkaert, The Salt Lick, The Continental Club, Chickensh*t Bingo @ Ginnys, mild winters, reasonable cost of living, no state tax, Lone Star Beer, Shiner Bock Beer, The Saxon, Zilker Park, and even a bridge that is home to approximately 500,000 bats !

 

Dang, I love it here.

We spent a couple more days in Austin this summer.  We still think we'd like to move there, but I don't think it's going to happen right away.  I actually know a couple people in Austin now, so I'm not completely in the dark.  Granted, even without someone to show me the ropes, we really liked it!
