Very nice saturday night in Paris... Happy to be your new friend on Nation... My friends loved that night... http://www.lestriplettesdebonneville.com/default.aspx ... I love your "Punk, Southern and Blue"... Great voice and rhythm...°<[:-) [---]==={
Hey HB, just got done listening to this lecture in my shop. It provided the best explanation to date on the history of the system of control of which has afflicted man kind in recent history. One thing to be said for Larouche is he has a firm grasp of history and presents it quite well, I can't say i'm in full agreement with his solutions, still under investigation, but damn my head is kinda full this afternoon :>)
An interesting lecture for sure-I fear a modern Dark Ages will prove be our lot-I can only hope my childrens children will enjoy a Renaissance..one can hope for that at least.
Hi John. Just to say thank you for the album, Has not been off the car stereo since boxstock, Fantastic! Great advice and tips at the workshop, applying the techniques to my newly built 4 string! Please let me know of any gigs coming up in the south.
my 93 Eurovan MV was beloved,,quad seat set up and a pull up table,,(bench seat slid into a bed) but it had trouble passing smog....then a crazy F*German mechanic got it, and could'nt even fix it! .....never buy the first year of ANY CAR...that was the first year of Eurovans....I DID love it tho...it was bought in 95 with real low miles///your tourbus is awesome!!
my funkyvan that is no economy rig....also beloved....there is something about a VAN...my Pa, in the 60s bought a little English Ford Van (yeah, he's cool!--his first car was $6.00)...he and my Mom turned it into a camper one week, and off we went......it had a side door that when the handled turned and it the door opened a little step swung out, if I remember right. ...Cheer HB--I WILL come check your vids/uploads
ayup mate - really enjoyed the evening with you. Here's more info about the gritty photography technique i told you about on Flickr. It's called TTV (through the viewfinder). Here's the link to my set, some crappy ones like flowers when I first started experimenting but look at the railway one, the old car and I like the guy with the greyhound one (my sort of son-in-law).
ta - yeah the black frame just happens. yes album covers etc - ideal for our kinda stuff. Just takes a bit of fiddling with cardboard and gaffa tape to make a device to hold the two cameras together. There's stuff on the net if you search for ttv device. Great weekend by the way, glad you enjoyed it too.
Thanks for checking out my humble tune. I appreciate feedback. Starting tomorrow night I'm working with a pro musician who's got a recording studio. We plan to record Lost Highway first, then I have some other songs picked out to do a kind of vanity album over the Winter. All instruments used on the album will be stuff I built. There'll be a couple different three string CBG's, a four string banjo I made from a kids drum, a baritone resonator, suitcase kick drum, stomp box and other goodies. Some of 'em are pictured on my page.
Anyway, thanks for the encouragement, and keep those great tunes of yours coming. (I love that shotgun song!)
Looking forward to Folkystone on Weds, see you there!! Also I'll have a large tee whilst I'm at it, the way I'm going lately it might be XL but I just can't bring myself to buying something that size. lol!!
