Hi Steve, Been looking at 'Whorehouse Blues' on the three stringer. It's slow; like me, with the usual Motorhead bite. Enjoyed the reso, and might have a try out with the 'sleepy tuning' too. Later.
Hi, thanks for adding me. I'm looking for good original CBG music for a movie I'm making, and I was pointed in your direction. I really like your sound, particularly Put Down Your Bad, and Mountain Song. I'm curious, do you have an acoustic version of the latter? Also, would you be open to having your music featured in an independent documentary?
Fantastic! Thanks for helping me out. I'm still working out the details on how we'll achieve the file transfer. Are you familiar with peer-to-peer file sharing? Also, I'll need to email you a release form, which I'll need you to print out, sign, and either fax, scan and email, or post back to me. Hopefully we can avoid inter-continental shipping, if at all possible.
I think my fiddle plays well. it's a bit shorter scale length than a regular one. it sounds great but the only problem is that it's hard to play the E and G strings because there's not much cut out. i'm not really a fiddle player but it's fun to play
well it looks great!!..what's the advantage with jumbo frets?...the CBG I've got that had the largest frets is my Red Dog 3 string..the sound seems to ring out more, but wasn't sure if it was because of the frets or just other aspects of the build..
Thanks for the comments on my vid Cigar box guitar through a Boss CS-Compressor and for the get well wish on my hand. The hand is really healing well and is much more comfortable than before the surgery. I don't know if you saw it, but I posted a picture called Mojo Bag that has a vial with actual bones from my hand in it. Good video you had - Dogfinger vs. Catfinger. Impeccable tone and style on that one!
Yes, that bass was fun to build and to play. It sounds fairly good too. One day I might install a piezo inside. Thanks, digging your tunes here on your page.
mmm not going to work!...you've just got me thinking...wonder if anyone's ever made a weather proof CBG??? It's be fun to stand in the pouring rain and play : -) Think it'd have to be unplugged though!!
Great n Thanks Steve,,build is coming along nicely.cut the peg holes...finished the staining process last nite, n cut out where the humbucker will go..hoping to glue the fret board and set the frets in.....have a great day!
