Thanks for the post on cross note tuning.  I tuned my 6string to Dm and I'm learning how to make that darkness work.  Pretty powerful.  I also have a new 3-string tuned GBe making an inverted Em.  So I wondered what it would sound like doing 12 bars and I was pretty pleased with the sound.  For the shuffle I changed between Em and Cmaj.  Then barring the 5th and 7th fret with on/off the 8th fret on the middle string.  Cool stuff.

I just posted a song on my page using the cross note tuning you explained.  My guitar is tuned open Gmin and I play major chords and pull off for the minor note.  I like my first cut at this.  Thanks for sharing your videos.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and J4T Recording app.  It allows me to record the git and vocals separately since I still struggle doing both at once.  I will rehearse a bit more and do a video.  I think it must be the mp3 compression that screws it up  the levels are quite good before.  It could be the upload to the player here on CBN too I suppose.  Trial and error is the name of the game today.  So far, two errors.  

The advice on strings and action is really helpful.  I'm just about to start on my Cohiba solid-body, so it's good to know what I'm aiming for - thanks !

Thanks Keni, I have just built my first ever 3 string CBG and now need to learn how to play it! I have dabbled in blues bottleneck on a 6 string over the years but like the simplicity and sound of the 3 stringer!

Came all the way to NY to avoid paying postage on the purchase of your DVD's how can I get hold of them.

Hi Keni Lee, thanks for that info on strings and tunings - I'm going to give them a try and see how I go. I'm definitely keen on exploring the ones suited to delta blues

Did you ever see the movie Keni? I remember seeing the movie at our little theatre called the "Home Theatre" on main street here in Blair, Nebraska as a youngster. I wanted nothing more than to live that young mans lifestyle.

that little red amp sounds tremendous! its sound better than that little radio I sent you....I remember seeing when those little radio like amps came out.....they are still new not many folks know about them....how much did you pay?
