I just saw Purgatory Hill this past Friday night in Minneapolis.Not only is Pat MacDonald a true American treasure and musical genius,he is also one of the most grounded and pleasant celebrities you will ever chance upon.For a $5.00 cover charge,PH themselves treated us all to over 3 hours of music.I anchored the chair the closest to the stage and was transfixed watching Pat play the Lowebow.Two days later,and I'm still at a loss for words to describe his playing style.If Purgatory Hill comes to your area,please do everything in your power,short of skipping your Mom's funeral to see them play.You will not be disappointed.

I'm going to personally share these comments with them when I see them next. They are both close friends of mine and it's great to see the mark they are leaving. It can be easy for me to take for granted how they are as performers because we share so much more.

All right, I'm incredibly jealous of any and everyone who is near enough to a show to go see it... if it was financially feasible, I'd be driving halfway across the country right now to see one of these shows.
