A group for those near to London, weather you live near or just feel near spiritually. Even if you've never been to the "Great Metrolops" but feel some sort of emotional connection. Hope it helps people down south to co-ordinate a bit.

Hi John
Hows it going - will you be at Boxstock 2012 , I will with a stand full of CBG padded pags again - hope to see you
Tony
Headed home with biscuit tins in the case and pasties in my belly. Was hoping to see bemuzic busking in Cambridge today, but the afternoon was a soaker.
My family and I are making another trip to the UK the first week of July. This time I have several vacation days before I start with the usual business. And out of 15-20 trips to England, this will be the first time I'll stay in London which means there's a real chance of meeting some of my CBN friends, maybe.
We're staying near Paddington Station. I hope to have some free time after my 4 year old meets with the Queen so she can ask to be a princess.
Hi Jim.
That's very close to me. Let me know if you are passing some time. I will put the kettle on.
Thanks for the welcome John, yes know where you are in the world, my son lives pretty close to you, He lives in Rickmansworth, before this last stroke i used to go fishing at the River Colne.
Jim
Hi Jim.
Welcome to the London group. Of course you qualify.
If you take three strings off a six string you will be doing what Seasick Steve did, and he pretty much defines the movement for some people. I hope you have lots of fun with this and if you have any questions do ask here or on one of the specific groups.
Thanks again for joining.
John
Hi Guys hope i Qualify for this here Group, i live just north of London, come from Kilburn originally now Living in Sunny Dunstable, in Bedfordshire, near Luton.
i love the sound of The CBG yet to get one/Make one, never Held one, but like thin neck Guitars as i have short fingers lol.
Can i ask, i have an old accoustic Guitar, i have it tuned to open G, could i remove three strings and play some authentic sounding slide this way, also what tuning would you recommend.
I will not be building a CBG at moment because of stroke but will be looking to buying one already assembled (three stringer) ASAP, such a beautiful sound, especially with glass slide, so at moment i want to remove whatever strings on my old HOHNER 6 string to achieve or try to achieve the sound.
Thanks Jim
