Okay. Was wondering if it had separate chambers, would it offer different tones for each chamber? Lower tones for bass side of strings and higher tone for treble side of strings. Something I'll probably experiment with in the future.

Hi paul, thank you very much

they are 8 boxes without the top glued on top of each other, and they are linked throug holes. So it still remains one big chamber

Are the boxes glued together with separate chambers or are the chambers linked together making one large chamber?

Hi, I'm Bart and I have finished my first CB bass, its an electric two string bass with flatwound strings made out of 8 small cigarboxes

Hi, My names Mark and I play guitar in The Sonny Bonds Duo, a punk/blues/garage rock band from Cardiff, South Wales, UK. I only play cigar box guitars, at the moment that consists of a 3 string which is mainly tuned to open D but also tune it (low to high) D, G, A and Drop A, A, D. I have a 4 string that is mainly tuned to open G but also tune it (low to high) G, C, G, C and G, D, G, G#. Recently finished a diddley bass with a bass A string.

Great things to play, i almost exclusively use slide, and sound awesome, people are always interested to have a look and a chat when we play live.

Hello all, I just joined in the fun. My name is Paul from Horn Lake,MS. I have been playing guitar since 1980. I have built and rebuilt several guitars and have recently got into the CBG craze. I have built 2 4-string CBG's, 1 acoustic with a piezo and 1 electric with a tremolo made from a door hinge.

I am glad to be a member here and  willing to give any advise and share experiences with CBNation.
