@Rand - you clearly misunderstood the direction of his artistic development -- see the "normal" fiddles and cellos abandoned all over the workshop?

I think the perfect shape of the instrument evolved during the years of tries and errors....

Not to many people are aware of this, but Antonio Stradivari got his start by building cigar box fiddles...

So keep perfecting your building skills and you may become a world famous string instrument maker as well.
