Considering I don't know crap about fingerings or much of anything about guitar tunings I have finally settled on EBE for my Texas Electric, electric box guitar... nothing sounded right except this.. only took a couple hours to get it... now to play it is another story...

i got a new 4 string variation tuning (DGdd) the double top string is played together not really new 3 stringers go (DGd) i tuned the b string up to D same strings. i like this on 3 string but the lead string gets over powered by the drone strings. but on a 4 string it sings kinda natural chorus effect

cheers for the invite bob. i pretty much go for whatever sounds good with my 3 stringers, but always liked open d D-a-d-f# for 4 strings.

DGb tuning is very useful for single note lead guitar cause its the same as the 3 open notes on 6 string guitar eaDGBe. bar it on the 2nd fret you got A. familiar boxs for 6 string players

im into this (GGdd) tuning i got a 2 string i tune an octive apart but this is like a huge power chord the low G so low its a bass 2 strings are fun but a 4 string chugger wow im working on some more songs that use this tuning maybe with less FUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ the cool thing about Gloria my fave CBG is the heavy duty neck it can take the punishing i put it thru i need a 27 to 30 inch scale length baritone Johnny Lowebow converts short scale basses to baritones. that sounds cool i got one i could do it to .its fretless.

Mama Mojo thanks for joining try DGb  its just like the 3 open strings on a 6 string guitar when you play a G in 1st position its great for single note leads but also good for chording. im happy to share ideas with you
