My first build - CBG and Amp
"Astral" cigar box which was a natural or slightly blonde color; now stained walnut - poplar neck - bent/folded/shaped tin string anchor w/bolt bridge - coat hanger wire frets - bone nut - skull themed machine head tuners - hand carved "Fleur d'Lise" at end of neck - dual piezo pup with volume control - many coats of poly. The Amp is basically a "Marshall" ms-4 9v mini amp I situated in a "Saint Luis Rey" cigar box. Off/on - gain - tone - volume - audio and external pwr. input and audio output (headphone). I surprised myself with this first build. It sounds pretty good, both acoustic and electric. Got some nice "Romeo and Juliet" boxes for subsequent builds.

Apparently, absolute luck!!! I eye balled 99% of it. It was just 3-4 draws of the saw over the neck for the depth, knowing the "frets" would be consistant. Then, I used the side edge of a metal yard stick type measurement device and they were all flush against it. The ones that were'nt, I changed. It worked out great. I was able to clamp a hand-held belt sander into a craftsman bench for the grinding and they are damn near perfect.
