Welcome!

This is a Group for anyone living in the great state of California, who builds, plays, or is just a fan of Cigar Box Guitars, and similar Handmade instruments. If you don't want to say exactly where you live, just say Northern, Southern, etc. I want to be abreast of any major gatherings...this summer is out, for me, but maybe next....

JFR   P.S.

That ply JFR box never did sound very good.  Kinda rattly.

Preparing for a body transplant.  I always disliked this cheesy plywood JFR box.  I only put it on because it is big.  I recently found a real nice JFR box, about the same size but with real nice wood sides.  I will install it upside down because the ply on the bottom is thinner than the top.

Cloamping setup to glue fretboard to neck.  If there are any frets that aren't completely set, they will be now.

Will, I can take a few Rocky Patel and Java off your hands.  Also anything really large.

See you Sunday.

My eyes are bigger than my.....I got too many boxes that I will never use myself, so I have some FREE BOXES to give away at the CBG Meeting this Sunday, March 29th.  11-Rough wood surface, mostly Kristoff; 6 each Java and G&G, nice but mostly made of Masonite; 16 Chateau Fuente, paper top 9.9X9.5X1.5; 12 Rocky Patel, Black wood 9.5X7.5X2.25.  If you want some, just leave me a message and pick them up at the meeting.

Hi Gary,  I will put you on the list for show & tell.  No extra bags.  I don't have any Undercrowns right now, but I will keep my eyes open for you.
