Hi

I am from Bracebridge, Ontario. I have always played guitar and fiddle and I am now learning to play a 5 string banjo.

I got a book on building cigar box guitars for XMAS. I just completed my first build. A 3 string fretless biscuit tin with a under the saddle piezo rod pickup. Next I will be building a didley bow.

Hi all,

  My names John and I am in ottawa, and I have been tinkering with this hobby for a couple of years now and have a couple of guitar and bass builds under my belt as well as a recent cbg and companion amp. I love it...im totally hooked, and plan on filling my walls with more cbgs!

I can't remember how I came across CBGs. I think my mom found a video of one, and she showed it to me. I've always had an interest in lutherie, and building a guitar out of a cigar box seemed like the easiest way to start building instruments. I'm planning my second instrument now, I think I'm gonna go for a ukelele this time.
