Hollowbelly & Chickenbone John in Europe

Just in case you hadn't spotted it in the listings, Mr HB and myself are making a little foray over to Europe in a few weeks time. Here's what we've got booked in so far -

9th Feb. Roemer, Bremen, Cigar box guitar making workshop + evening gig

12th Feb. Magic Gumball Night, CC Mukiekcafe, Amsterdam, Netherlands

14th Feb. Cafe Pallieter, Westerlo, Belgium

15th Feb, Cafe Balls (yes, really!) Eindhoven

16th Feb, In De Brouwerij, Asten, Cigar box guitar making workshop (SOLD OUT!) + evening gig

17th Feb, Lokaal 42, Helmond

All very exciting for me, first time playing in Europe, but Hollowbelly is an old hand at this continental touring lark. To add to the excitement (and pressure) ZDF German television will be filming the workshop and concert in Bremen.

Well, if you mean "veel succes" or "Glück"..thanks very much! My German isn't too bad, but my Dutch is very limited, despite my wife being pretty fluent with it and having lots of Dutch relatives. Willkomen und danke schoen meine Damen un Herren, Dank je en welkom dames en heren.. bienvenue et merci mesdames at messieurs...I'm going to do the whole "Cabaret" introduction thing I think for German telly...

Prima! Es wird wirklich groovy Daddio! Alles Klar? Looks OK in print, but I reckon my German is probably about as up to date and reliable as a pre-unification Trabant. Still, my restaurant German is pretty passable....but I just hope they've all got good English, as there's no way I'll be able to adequately describe how to build a guitar in German...let alone Dutch...but then again, the Dutch all have excellent English.

As if having to deal with German TV won't be stressful enough, look at the dump where we'll be staying in Holland during midweek...MV Togo, moored in Scheveningen harbour. It's a hard life....we don't even get any staff.

Ah would LOVE to stay on a boat, stead of sleepin rough outside Tescos, gettin hit with old horsemeat (hows that for an "up ta date" comment, Steve! lol

Just checked mine and I've picked up, read and replied to a message, so not sure what the problem might be...you got the problem on the computer or on your mobile "'beam me up Scotty" phone?
