Does anyone recognise these pickups?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows what these pickups are? They look a bit like Teiscos, but I am not sure. Any tips would be appreciated.

Japanese companies made a lot of the same pickups back in the day just like the Chinese do today. They could be made by any of 5 to 10 companies. Take the pickguard off and look at the bottom to see if there are any identifying marks.

I have looked and there are no markings at all . . . very frustrating!

There's a pictorial guide on old Japanese Pickups on this site if I remember correctly. Search around for it or do a Google search to find a link.

"Teisco" has become a bit of an umbrella term for most 60s japanese guitar stuff .
your example would fall under ("teisco black foils ) ( if there is a thin metal foil in those holes .) or a variation there of . (no matter who the real makers is ). even under a different name it was most likely the same factory that made them .
