Second Build

Well here goes. I started my second build. As you know the first build was a flop. (LOL). On this build I have a Poplar neck with a Oak fret board. Maybe this one will not bow.

I have attached some photos of the build. Yes more photos.

The box was stained with black shoe polish. It took several coats to get it to the color I wanted. The neck has one coat and then lightly sanded to bring out the grain.

This is my first attempt at doing a heal. The neck will be formed by hand. I do not have a spoke shave so fies and sand paper will have to do.

 I do my best work with files, sandpaper and a pocket knife-better than my spokeshave...

 And your first build was not a flop-it was training!

Well the build is done. Just a few tweeks here and there. I will be posting photos very soon. I only have one string on it as I broke the other two. I had to work on the wiring but the tone is awesome.
