CBGer’s Lament

I went to the Beer store and what did I see?

Three Padron boxes—just looking at me.

I jumped and yelled, surprised at my luck.

They cost me each fifty cents and a buck.

I took them home and looked at them all,

And pondered what to do with my haul.

One became a four string GCEA

And plays like an oversized ukulele.

Another became a three string GDG

Still working to fix when it buzzes like a bee.

The last sits there alone and forlorn

‘Cause a new sadness makes me mourn

I’d build something new if I could,

But I gotta get more fret wire and I’m almost out of wood.
