If you work in a factory that makes wine boxes that are good for (cigar) box guitar building, maybe you can set up a side business of making them available over the Internet. Cigar boxes are harder to get in Europe and wine boxes might be the next best thing. Wish I could locate a source where I live. Likely the postage cost would be too much for China. So, I'm stuck building my own boxes from unreliable wood sources.
Well, if you are building boxes from scrap wood at the factory you work at, that's a lot different than what I understood (wrongly). I had thought the factory you worked at made boxes for wine bottles, in which case all the box making is probably already handled for you and then it would be a matter of buying at employee discount some boxes good for instrument making and putting them up for sale on eBay. Building your own boxes by hand and selling them at competitive prices probably wouldn't be worth the trouble.Just an idea I had.
I live in China and while their wine industry has been active for maybe a couple of of decades now, I still consider it glorified grape juice. And I'm not a wine snob. I occasionally see boxes here in China I could use to build CBGs, but buying then isn't as easy as in the States where you have a fair number of Cigar Stores for cigar boxes and wine stores/bars/wineries for wine boxes. So, I tend to make my own boxes. However, I also try to visit the States once a year and tend to bring several back home in my suitcases, along with other parts and tools I think I can use for making CBGs and the like.
What I hear a lot, especially from the guys in the U.K. and other parts of Europe, is how hard it is to find cigar boxes and they often have to resort to paying top dollar for their cigar boxes when they buy them over the Internet often because the postage rate is so high. You being in Europe, and working in a factory that makes wine boxes, I thought it might be a good opportunity to sell wine boxes as an alternative to cigar boxes for the European market, but only if they can be had at a reasonable price (including postage). I don't know, maybe in Europe, wine boxes are available already, and if that's the case, then maybe there isn't a market there for you. The way to find out is to do a search on Cigar Box Nation for active builders in the UK and other countries in Europe and see if they have a need and how much they would be willing to pay, etc. This all assumes you can get boxes easily and at cut rate prices so you can mark up the price and gain a bit of profit to make it worth your while. Just an idea for you. The markup on a completed CBG is probably where the real money is, so I can see where you might prefer to concentrate on your own CBG business in what little spare time you have off from work and family.

I liked the sound of all the stuff on your page : -) On my page I sung on "Somewhere in the Blue" and some backing vocals on "Music in my Head"
I'm recording some songs at the moment which I sing on...not too confident about my voice, so not sure if that's a good thing or not, lol!!
