thanks Henry!! (Silent Night) I had to give the effects box back to it's rightful owner;-) ....but a test drive was awesome fun! ,,,yeah, i'd look for one of those second hand,,"toys" take backseat to gas/bills, etc. even new strings are a treat! bought gas last night--it is on it's "orchestrated" RISE, now....not so odd, and painfully familiar, they begin to hike it a few weeks BEFORE the holiday/school break arrives---maybe hoping we won't notice???????, all these travelers/shoppers are great for petrol sales! ;-) it happens pre holiday,..without fail. Cheers have a great day!
Thanks Henry! The camera project is for a buddy of mine who shoots almost exclusively with wet plates (when he's not at work). http://danielafzal.com
The goal is to first produce a better working back for his current 5x7 camera, and then construct one that will shoot on full 11x14 plates. That might take a little while though. :)
No tunes yet on the double neck beast - I'm still trying to figure out how to play. I know one short riff on three strings, but I'm still figuring out basic chords, scales, and strumming. And yeah, I know these things are "no rules" to lower the entry bar, but I'm still reaching for it musically. :)
Hi Henry just to thanking for the advise on the fishing line, ending up using the 40lbs for my Djeli Ngoni Instrument, not quiet finished but really close and uploaded some picture to look at and a little jam with only 3 string on out of 4 string that should be on, i got some problem fixing up the fourth string and will fix that reall soon and make another little jam to hear for fun !!!
I'm sure this is a very difficult time. My mother died almost seven years ago, but what I can tell you is that you never really loose them. They are just with you in a different way.
Henry, i think life is best taken one day at a time, anyway////:-) you never get over missing them, likely...the pride in having had wonderful parents, and wonderful memories of them is what floats your boat, and keeps you going...you did them great honor too, being a wonderful son!:-) your thought, for the day...and I like to think they see and hear us, anyway...they probably are applauding you right now..
I hear that. I have a stack of amps in my living room right now that if I do not sell or give away I may be killed in my sleep by my wife. I have quite a few that I am happy with but always seem to feel I can do better so I end up starting over on my circuits haha. My last one runs my neighbors VOX cabinet at a volume where you can not hear each other talk in the same room while playing so I am pretty happy with that one for running off of 12 and 9 volts. Nice cleans and good crunch (although starts to break up badly when gain and preamp are at full throttle and the master volume is cranked). Started out as "Hey that is neat, I think I will build one of those little Ruby amps" and turned into "Hmmm....I wonder what else I can do with this?, and this? and this and this and this and this......." One of these days I will have a design that I will stick with, you know in like 10 years haha.
Thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers. Happy Easter to you as well. Enjoyed your songs on the new Blues compilation; at first, I wasn't sure I liked them, becuase they were soooo different, but then I found they gave me a respite from the same I-IV-V that I and everyone else was doing.

Hi Henry.
That video was very appropriately titled. For those of us who are far too far away it was good to get a glimpse of what it was like.
All the best.
