I make musical instruments as a hobby, mainly keyboards (virginals, harpsichords, early piano) but they take months to build and voice properly. Cigar Box Guitars take a few days to make, are relatively easy to voice and most of all...are easy to play! (I never had the patience or aptitude to learn 6-string guitar!)

    Hi Bernie,No need for an apology stuff is repeated all the time on this site.

    Did you make your lute from an Early Music kit ?

    I used nylon for the lute frets but resorted to using a soldering iron to seal the knots.
