How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?
One of Shane's videos.
How many instruments have you built so far?
1 Diddley bow in 2017 lots of flutes, hand drums and other odd instruments 20 years ago.
What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).
The fact I think that something can sound so good from such simple things, and not a heck of a lot of technical skill in making them. Also that, especially with the Diddley Bow someone with no musical "skill" can still make music with them. I also love the added artistic flourishes we can put our "stamp" on with them.

Michael F Copado - Yep... That is exactly what I did here. I didn't want to change up the outside of the box, so I just placed the pickup itself (i didn't use the wood covering for anything) right underneath the top of the cigar box. When you get yours together, post a video. I'd like to see it! Thanks, bud!

"So did you just glue it to the underside of the box?"

No. The neck ran through the box. I cut a spot out of that wood, and glued it INTO that spot. It still rests right under the top of the box...but it isn't attached.
