Hi Ladies....I been wondering how everyone is. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss MamaMojo:-(  I have not stopped by in such a while I missed this, now not recent,,,but my condolences, anyway........ when the loss is unexpected it is so hard,...it amounts to a true emotional shock.and a sibling, especially (I can only imagine.).....Where did August go? I never got a getaway....just had alot of work come my way......the kind that does not have a paycheck attached...LOL

..I been ok, just busy,,,deer been busy getting my garden,...LOL..it IS easier to buy those tomatoes....my efforts and $ amounted to expensive deer food...found another weird bug...another vector=triatoma protracta, a horrendous bug, aka the kissing bug......another research for me , as it bit my youngest,,,,still trying to talk to scientists here and there.......

Dianne,....hope your leg is not suffering you much, and the family, both furry and fleshy is OK...

Had to sell my lil rowboat to pay for a brake job...serious outgo, in hard times...I shoulda gone to college to be a dentist/auto mechanic.....hehehe.....

Hey LLC, I have no doubt I will walk on the beach again soon.

I have been just piddling round the house today doing some washing. The boys and I stayed in bed on and off; I had a bad night last night with my leg.

I will talk to you later. DW

Hi Gals, I'm just stopping in to say hi.  Sorry I have been MIA these past few weeks.  My younger brother died suddenly and unexpectedly three weeks ago today and I've been in Michigan for the services and then for an extended visit with family and friends.  I'm finally recovering from the trip, but obviously not the loss.  I'll try to take some time to catch up on messages later as I am still swamped with work and am getting ready for a magazine article that is being done on Mama Mojo Guitars.  Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok - other than this blasted heat.... which isn't nearly as bad on the eastern shore but it's still hot!  TTYL, MM

my spoken laments pale....it is crazy that they don't compensate for such weather, just let work GO........adjust work schedules,..etc. my yongest was out running in the heat and bad air last fall...it bothered me, but other parents actually CALLED and loudly complained to the administration....PE was promptly moved into the Gym for a few daysat least the school paid attention.......Hydration is critical...watermelon a great was to get an extra boost.they have been really good this year....my fridge is tiny but I find a way to fit them in...!!:-)...I do hope you can get the walk on the beach, Dianne:-)

Hey LLC, great song, and so very true. You did a great job, very talented.

In South Ga., it is hot and humid; I stay inside most of the time. Too hot to work on my guitars. Just this past week, one of our football team's player passed out after a morning practice and then later died. They think it was the heat that caused him to die. He was only 16. In another town bout 1 1/2 away, a football coach died from the heat. In North Ga, another player died.

One day this week, my husband got to hot at work, and he didn't feel good when he came home. The next day, he mixed him some gatorade up for him to drink which helped. He has to work in the heat all day long which is 10 hrs a day. They should give them more water breaks.

My Uncle in Mass has been in the hospital this week from septic poison in his kidney. All his electlytes were all screwed up. It looked bad for a few days, but now he is better. He is on oxygen all the time because of a screw up a surgeon did on his lung---had to take it out so he wouldn't bleed to death. No, they didn't sue.

Laurie, maybe you should get another kitty after some time has passed. I know what you mean about those pet hugs. My boys sure give us lots of hugs, and kisses. There is nothing like a greeting from your pets when you get home.

I go this Thursday to my leg doctor to get me another socket made for my leg.

I can't wear my swim leg any more, too small; so I am going to take the socket off my old leg and put it on my swim leg. I am planning to go to Savannah in a couple months. So, maybe I will have a leg I can walk on the beach with. If it gets wet, it won't matter, it has a rubber foot, walking on the beach won't hurt it.

It has been years since I walked on the beach barefoot.

That is bout all that is going on here. Take care to all the Ladies.

Hi Ladies....listening to the news lately  i'm worried about anyone in the southern US belt! WOW, what you have endured this season....hoping everyone is well.....I been in a funk...the "cat hugs", you don't realize the therapy in a pet till they are no longer there for the huggin'!   This song popped out --a talk with my teen son whilst driving about....about romance, choices, starting out in young adult life ..just sorta landed on me.....speaks of choices, speaks of regrets, and the chance given to all to make both good and bad ones, but also speaks of optimism to work it out...the dance (life) goes on! I'm hoping to find time for more uploads to Bandcamp..must convert the files to WAV...funny, I avoid recording in WAV,...files so large...anyway--they are free downloads:-)

LL, I didn't know Daddy Long Legs were poisonous spiders. I catch them all the time and chase my husband with them. I didn't know they would catch mosquitos. Learn something every day.

Yeah, I imagine people are wandering if they are going to get a check in August.

They are probably watching their every cent. It is sad the President has put our country in this shape.

Be careful bout the West Nile virus. Take care.
