Newbie

Hi,
My name is Derek and I live in a village in Warks called Harbury.
I have been building guitars for many years, on and off, and saw a CBg on U-tube and have been hooled ever since. I have just bought my first cigar box from ebay and will make a start on it once I have got my tiny workshop sorted with a bench to work on.
Just thought I would say hello to all and sundry out there and if you live near to me then come show me your 'BOX' I would be very interested.

Good to have you here mate , think we all started by looking on Youtube for guitar related videos .. whats this Cigar box guitar video WTF is a Cigar Box Guitar ? will have to watch this , that's how i started anyway , from watching that first video i was hooked !

when you start your build be sure to take many a picture along the way , we love a good pic !

I would come to the fest but I think my son is playing the same night with his band and needs me to video for him.
If I have got the dates wrong I will try and get there as it sounds a good gig.

BTW I bought a couple of bottlenecks from you off ebay a couple of years ago and guessed I would see you on this site.

Thanks for the welcome.
I have just started on my first CBG inbetween building an electric resonator for my son.
So while I am waiting for things to dry, or whatever, I have still got something to do.I will post a picture when it is finished.
