Wire coat hangers?

It seems that they are pretty useless but I generate wire coat hangers, any ideas of an application for these? Weld them for sound hole screens? Frets?Thanks,PRHContinue

Hi folks
ive got an old real small shallow tin used to store fly fishing lures with a leaping trout on the lid. ive been thinking of placing a piezo in there and mounting it in a cbg. any thoughts ????

I found a good use for nutshells:

That is a macadamia, but I guess walnuts might be quite good too, I just fill them with woodfiller then drill a pot shaft sized hole.

I'm in. Love to recycle, and if I can play music on it too, so much the better. Last build had nut made from outlet cover and bridge from flooring scrap.

Great tips!...i don't drink coke, but the sounds holes are something I gotta try!..A friend used coat hanger wire for frets & they looked & worked pretty good. JB

I've kept the metal perforated eye patches from my cataract operations to use as sound holes. (Gotta get my build quality up 1st since I don't want to go through the ops again).
I'm going to have to resist calling the results the "Blind Lemon Pledge" (or similar) CBG.

If you're looking for a box to ship a guitar, try your local florists. The long boxes they get flowers in from the wholesalers are ideal and they tend to just throw them away.

Keep your eyes open at garage sales, yard sales, rummage sales and especially estate sales for odds and ends like old brass or silver.
