This is not so much of a reintroduction as a rebirth so to speak. I joined Cigar Box Nation many, many years ago when I initially developed an interest in more "primitive" instruments, CBGs, mountain…Continue

Hello Everyone... I've had the fever for about a month now. This is really addictive. I bought my first CBG from Mike Snowden a few weeks ago. He is a very talented musician and builder in the Atlanta area. Now I have the fever to build my own. I will probably be asking some dumb questions as I get started but this sure seems to be the right place to gain knowledge. I hope to meet some of you at the festival in Huntsville this weekend.

Howdy. I guess I should have posted here first but, I'm Steve from southern Maryland and I caught the fever a few months ago. Been playing music for 30 plus years and never new what I was missing with the CBG lifestyle. After seeing all the fun I'm having building and playing my wife has recently caught the fever too! I'll be moving to the next level soon. I just received some Bob Harrison pickups this week and can't wait to find the right box or two. I have over 50 boxes now but nothing saying I'm the one for one of those pups.

Speaking of pups (actual dogs) we have 6 beagles. Some day I'll get video of them singing along with one of my builds. They're the best audience I've known.

Hi all. Been following the CBG thing for quite a while and finally decided I should add my voice. Have a strumstick I built a lot of years ago and other string and electronic instruments I've acquired and built. Came here to get back to something more musical, I do a lot of what is called experimental music but really can't leave the blues side of things alone. Looking forward to building something soon, probably a three string as that's about as many as I feel like dealing with.

Hey everyone! Im a noob on here. I live in the Baltimore MD area. I tend to fall more on the visually creative side of things. Good with photography and graphic layout. I have always played guitar for as long as I can remember, but wouldnt consider myself to be good. Im self taught and have alot of really bad playing habits that at best makes my playing unique. I got into looking at cigar boxes from the dirty sound that they often produce. Thats the sound I always strive for when I'm playing guitar, and the sound Im trying to achieve by building my own CBG's. I am working on my second guitar now, and will have plenty of pics and videos coming soon.
