I just joined CBGN.  I'm looking forward to all the cool stuff and people that seem to be here.

I'm assembling materials for my first build(s). I have a couple of suitable boxes and plenty of neck material, so I figured I might as well build a couple. I'm planing on three strings and a simple design. I have a real tendency to over complicate things, thus getting nothing done, so I'm going as simple as I can to get started.

I'm in rural Colorado. Fortunately, I have found myself the singer in a pretty damn good blues band. I'm hoping that eventually I can bring some other instrument to the band besides miscellaneous noise makers and random percussion (no, it doesn't need more cowbell, thank you very much).

Anyway, I'm diggin' the site and what I see of the folks!

Like Richey say's mate all you need are a few tools and a lot of help from the guys here, it's easy when you have mates to help you like Richey, start and before you know it you have a git to play but beyond that mates to help you along, Alan your in the right place for mates to help you build. If you stumble you won't fall, were all here to catch you mate. :) :) :)

Hi Alan. All you need to get started with a fretless build is a drill, saw, sandpaper and rasps or a Surform for shaping the neck. You'll be able to decide for yourself what else you need after you've finished your first. Good luck and welcome!

I'm Alan from Derbyshire in England. Just bought myself a cigar box and now I need to look at the neck side of things, that seems like the tricky bit. That and the fact that I have no manual skills. Or tools. But I'm looking forward to the challenge!
